Based in Toronto, Key Gordon is an advertising & design agency specializing in the development of print, digital and broadcast creative. We don’t have a “proprietary” approach to the work we do littered with trademarks, buzzwords and catchphrases. Our approach is much simpler: we do whatever it takes to help our clients communicate better.
Key Gordon was founded in 2001 by creative director Grant Gordon and Key Publishers, at the time the largest independent publisher in Canada. Today, Grant runs the firm with Bruce Roberts (a suit who never wears a suit). Together they lead a team of writers, design thinkers and digital experts who know how to listen—to our clients, their customers, and the zeitgeist of today.
We are an advertising & design hybrid. We base every project on a communication concept—an arresting idea. Then we apply original design thinking. To us, neither copy nor design is king. We strive for a powerful combination of the two, something that creates tension—verbally, visually, conceptually—and memorable communication.
Today we’re a firm of a dozen professionals—big enough to sink our teeth into large projects, but still small enough to obsess over the little ones, too. We listen closely, collaborate helpfully, and offer our clients all the insight, support, and creative material they need to level up.
